Transform Your Daily Stress into Happier, More Open-Hearted Living

Recently, we asked ourselves, what is the best thing we can do to help you?

And we decided to do something unusual and bold to support you. We are very excited to offer you high quality one-on-one biofeedback sessions completely free.

Learn a Powerful Stress Management Practice Free (until December 5, 2017)

We want to teach you a new self-regulation method to help you transform anxiety and stress. Use it to help your relationships, family life, work life, or any area of distress in your life.

These methods come from HeartMath, a set of tools for tuning into and self-regulating your own body when you need it most. And that’s when something overwhelms you emotionally. Learn about your body’s response to stress, and how to calm yourself quickly and naturally.

On September 11, we began offering free HeartMath sessions from 8:30 am until 2 pm Monday through Friday. We can arrange some evening appointments. We’re offering this as a service to the community. There is no requirement to be a client at Mount Vernon Family Therapy.

There is no cost. There won’t be any records. You can come one time per week, twice, or up to 5 times per week as openings allow.

Research shows that repeated practice over weeks gives lasting benefits for aiding your body in stressful times.

56% Saw Drop in Depression, 46% Lowered Anxiety

HeartMath’s studies with over 11,500 people have shown improvements in mental and emotional well-being in just 6 to 9 weeks. People in these studies saw:

  • 24% improvement in the ability to focus
  • 30% improvement in sleep
  • 38% improvement in calmness
  • 46% drop in anxiety
  • 48% drop in fatigue
  • 56% drop in depression

HeartMath’s proven methods help people use biofeedback and thinking tools, to let go of distress and anger, and speak from a safer, more gentle place in the heart. Discover how to use the power of compassion for yourself and other people to address problems that you felt no control over before. It opens greater opportunity to focus on what’s true, real, and essential to your best self.

People who have used HeartMath find it makes them feel more love, and self-understanding. They feel more positive emotional connection with others as their best selves, even in stressful situations.

Regular use of this approach also has been successful to help with pain management such as migraines and back pain.
